The Sons of Orpheus Men's Chorus is directed and conducted by the distinguished Grayson Hirst of the University of Arizona Music Department. The repertoire of this community male chorus ranges from Gregorian chants to Sea Shantys, with opera in between. In the spirit of the Alexandrov's Red Army Ensembles and the Yale Russian Chorus, they have "learned" yet another language in presenting the rousing popular folk songs of Russia. The Arizona Balalaika Orchestra and the Sons of Orpheus periodically join each other for segments of their respective public performances.
