Russian Stacking Doll





Richard Holden The orchestra's Kalinka Russian Dancers were formed in 1989 by Richard Holden, a former dancer and choreographer with major ballet and folk dance companies. Interested in characted dance since age 14, he researched and notated folk dance in Poland and Russia, studying techniques of Moiseyev. Although now semi-retired, he continues to perform and choreograph for dance companies around the country, as well as act in films. Russian speaking, he was featured in 1995 in Pravda, Russia's leading newspaper.
