UPCOMING EVENTS:

We are curently on rehearsal break, because we're packing to hit the road to attend the
Convention of the Balalaika and Domra Association of America, which
is in Reno, NV this year. These conventions are very educational and inspriational, not to say a week's worth of great
Russian music parties! At the end of the week in Reno, on Saturday July 19th, 2008, we will perform with the large
joint orchestra of all the participating balalaika orchestras. These are events to remember, so if you can make the
trip to participate or see the concert, you will be glad you did. It's still not too late to
join us. See you there, or when our Tucson performance season resumes in
the fall!

If you think it looks like we're having way too much fun up there on the stage,
you are absolutely right! Do our instruments and does our music intrigue you? Now is the time to
get involved, start becoming familiar with our repertoire, and warming up for next year's season! Especially
if you already read music and have played an instrument before, you should have little trouble. Yes,
we have native Russian speakers among us, but rehearsals are conducted in English (well, for the most part).
We can even recommend instructors, instruction books, & instrument sources to get you started. |
